So you have decided that you want that extra punch to your sounds or that extra rumble to the system, well here you will go through a step by step guide to how to build your very own sub box.
While many different people like different size subwoffers this walk through shows you the basics of how to make a sub box for your chosen sub so we will not be going into to much details about sizes
What you need :
Step 1

First you will need to measure the area you plan to house your sub box. These measurements should be marked out on a plain piece of wood as shown above.
Tips & Tricks: Remember what ever you mark out must be cut twice because you need the front, back, top, bottom and sides.
Step 2

Once you have cut out the box sizes you will need to measure your sub cut area and cut the hole(s) required to house you sub(s).

Once you have cut your holes for your sub place it into the hole to make absolutely sure that it fits without any gaps, if there are any gaps you will have to start again.
Tips & Tricks: When you cut your holes it is recommended that you cut them to small because you can make a hole bigger but you can't make it smaller. Your hole can be an imperfect circle as long as when you place the sub in it dose not show any gaps.
Step 3

To make your box you will have to use the 90 degree bars and screw each piece of wood together it is recommended that you add the sealant to the wood before you screw it together

Once you have screwed your box together look for any gaps and use the sealant as needed. Make sure that there are no gaps what so ever.
Step 4

On one side of the box mark out the size of the speaker connector and cut the hole required. As shown in the image below.

Once again, Make sure that there are no gaps what so ever. or you will have to re do that section.
Step 5

Now all the holes are cut and you are sure everything will fit as needed it is time to carpet the box. We decided to carpet the front first because the carpet was to small to cover the whole box in one go but you can carpet it any way you wish as long as you follow these simple guide lines.
You can spray either the carpet or the box it is your choice the spray will start to become sticky in about two minuets, this is the best time to attach the two items together
Step 6

Now you are ready to install the sub(s). In this box wadding has been added but this is not essential you can run the sub without wadding if you choose. You now also need to run the wire to all of the required places and screw them down.

Congratulations you are now finished, all you have left to do is install your amp and wire it up.
Tips & Tricks: Be very careful when screwing the sub(s) in, one slip and you will puncher a hole in the sub which in turn will make it useless.
