April sees Andyniceday in the Spot Light Car space. Now Andy dose not own his P10 any more but I think his car is a wonderful example and deserves a place in the spotlight, Congratulations Andy.

How dose it feel to you have a spotlight car?

I’m amazed to be honest; I never thought my p10 would be chosen. There’s people out there who have spend time and money on their cars making them look and sound better, but I guess keeping a standard car looking good takes just as much effort as well. I’m honoured to be chosen by the best Primera site out there haha!

What is special about your car?

When I’m driving round and I see a p10 parked up, ill go and have a quick look and I don’t think I’ve seen many standard ones in as good condition as mine is. Some are covered in dents and rust etc; others have just been ragged silly and not cared for. So I reckon its special cos its one of a very small group to be still standard but in great condition.

What was your best mod?

I haven’t done much exterior wise as you will see from the pics, but id say it has to be my new speakers inside the car. The sound quality was improved big time and everyone commented on the huge difference after id done them.

What was the hardest mod?

Well I can only speak for the ice mods on my car, but id say figuring out how to put the new head unit in was a real pain. Id read about putting the cage in etc, but when I took the centre console bit off, I could see brackets and no cage. Getting it out was easy but trying to put the new CD player in was another story. I had to make some new brackets cos the original ones wouldn’t work, then it stuck out too far etc etc! Now someone will tell me you can use the cage pah!

What was your best buy?

O the Head unit by a mile, I had a JVC one before my pioneer one, and when I changed it the difference was stupid. The pioneer has high pass filters etc so you can really fine tune the sound to suit your speakers and music. It sounds really good.

What was your worst buy?

I don’t think any of my mods are that bad really, maybe I could have got some better 6x9’s with more power, but everything I have is fine.

What are you going to do next?

Im not that sure to be honest. Im only 18 so getting insured on my p10 is a real issue, we are talking over £2000 to get my own policy, so obviously that’s not going to happen on my apprentice income! Ill just keep looking after it and we’ll see what happens. Whatever I do I will always be a part of purep10.co.uk for sure. Have a good March everyone! Laters……
