As the J.A.E gets ever closer we welcome PrimeraLX to the spotlight Car area. His car was voted the J.A.E car of the show 2004 and well deserved it was. So without further from me here is there spot.

How dose it feel to you have a spotlight car?

It feels great to be June car of the month especially after winning JAE 2004 Car of the Show. It’s great to be able to show off my car, as I believe it is a great example of a P10 as like all our P10’s.

What is special about your car?

I think the colour is pretty special as you don’t see many P10’s that colour, plus the fact that the car is in mint condition with extremely low mileage for its year. It definitely turns heads when I drive past but at the moment I’m not sure that’s because of the car or the fact that the exhaust is soooooooo loud. Lol

What was your best mod?

It has to be the wheels 17” Avalini Turbo Alloys they are Phat, they change the whole look of the car, they are kerbed quite badly at the moment which I will get sorted but instead of getting them painted the same colour I may go for a one off colour to be different or even colour code them to the car!! They also help with the handling of the car when going round corners which is great fun.

What was the hardest mod?

The hardest mod I have done is something which isn’t on the car yet as it is taking a long time, and that is my Subaru Side skirts, I have had to do a lot of work to get them to fit, cutting parts out and filling them in. The hardest part was, when I got them I put them up against my car and found that they were 50mm to short so I had to bridge the gap and fill and sand them down and at the moment I’m still in the process of sanding them down, but I’m hoping to get them sprayed and fitted before JAE 2005. The good thing is that doing them I have learnt new skills which will help me in the future.

What was your best buy?

Has to be the wheels again got them for a great price! Also the piping and the K&N filter which I used to make my induction kit which I have to say I was pretty proud of it when I had finished it and it didn’t half sound good. And then I bought my exhaust and it sounds amazing.

What was your worst buy?

The worst buy has to be something I bought off of ebay which was supposed to give you an extra 20bhp put at the time I didn’t know much about ecu’s and chipped and thought that it was worth a go, but as I found out it was rubbish to put it mildly but as I didn’t spend much on it I wasn’t that annoyed. But to all reading this stay well away they don’t work. Other than that I think I’ve been lucky with what I have bought.

What are you going to do next?

Next I’m looking at modding the front and rear bumper then a new spoiler, but I am going to own the car for many years as I’m very happy with it even with it being only a 1.6 so I have plenty of time to work on the car. I’m also looking at getting a TFT colour screen and Playstation 2 to play games and watch DVD’s in the car. (Not whilst Driving though!!)

I’m going to look at getting a new header and down pipe and a few other bits and then jump on a rolling road. But like I say this will be over a few years.

Well I could go the whole hog and buy a turbo!! lol only if I win the lottery! Hope you all like the pics!!
